No Smoking
There he is in the clouds of darkness
Aware of what are the consequences
Shortening his life with utter foolishness
Thinks he’s cool ticking ash of the edges
Burning 11 minutes of his lifer in just over 8 cents
Is it justified as a price for this precious life?
Turning to ash these gorgeous moments we have lent
I ask, oh dear why die slowly here take this knife.
Don’t you think about the future?
Of your loved ones, friends and family
Why play with life’s feeble sutures?
For little pleasure of yours, temporary and deadly
Wasting the valuable body that has been gifted
Don’t you think one day you’ll have to answer?
Ask its value to those who have been lifted
From power to see, to hear, walk, talk and laughter
All of the poison that you are taking
If I start counting it will leave you dumbstruck
And you think its called heroism, which you are faking
You may become a real one if utilized the same effort for peace and comfort
If you continue like this your destruction is inevitable
Fine don’t care for yourself
But why making other’s life vulnerable
As smoke is lethal to your company as well
Don’t you feel a bit of remorse?
By Just creating a burden for the society and your family
If you think it’s a joke go to hell! Can’t stop you by force
Grab a weapon and let strike, the calamity
Its still time to ponder
For its never late to realize
Thinking about the past only makes you fonder
Quit smoking, and let nature unleash it paradise
Find happiness in the colours of life
Much more vibrant, permanent and awesome
For smoke may bring relaxation for a while
With a corollary that is gruesome
By turning the tide we can improve
The view of life, the minds and souls
Say no to cigarettes, spread the message to every groove
That ‘cigarette is a thing with flame on one side and on other side, a fool”
